About Help My Dog
I am a dog behaviourist and trainer and currently offer 1-2-1 consultations, various training packages and various classes. I promote positive, kind methods in order to enhance the quality of life for owners and dogs.
I work with owners to help them understand why their dog is behaving the way it does so they can help them overcome various issues such as barking and lunging at dogs, jumping up at people, pulling on the lead, separation anxiety and many more!
My classes help you support your dog's development from the very beginning as puppies to adolescents so that they can grow up with all the life skills they need to adapt to the complicated world we live in. A resilient dog will be able to take new things in its stride and live its best life as a happy, confident member of you family.
I trained as a behaviourist after adopting Woody, who was a very challenging lurcher with many complex issues from his past life. I have therefore made it my life's mission to understand as much as possible about dogs and their calls for help and to help any dog I can to live their best possible life with us.
I am a qualified behaviourist with a Level 5 Diploma in Canine Behaviour with the International School for Canine Psychology and Behaviour (ISCP) and am an approved Dog Trainer with the Dog Training College. I work at Greyhound Rescue Wales part-time so have a wealth of experience with sighthounds and ex-racing dogs. However I work with all breeds and specialise in reactive and rescue dogs.
