I run various classes across Pembrokeshire based on positive training methods.

Training your dog with positive reinforcement makes good behaviour much more likely. By using things our dogs enjoy such as treats, toys or praise you are teaching your dog that good things happen when they make a good choice. When your dog gets a reward, they will associate this with whatever they have just done, and will be more likely to do that same thing again next time.

Reward-based training is not only fun, but helps build a positive bond between you and your dog. We don't work for free so why should our dogs?

Classes

Pet Dog Gundog Classes

Pet Dog Gundog training uses the techniques used to train gundogs without actually working your dog in the field, and is useful for any breed of dog as the skills are beneficial to everyone. I have had lurchers, collies and Spinones on the classes in the past, as well as gun dogs.

Fulfilling your dog's natural desires to hunt or retrieve will give them a job to do and something to focus on. This in turn will make them a much calmer well behaved pet who looks to you for fun.

It also creates a really strong bond between you and your dog, which is a feeling that you just can't beat

The course will run over 5 weeks and cover the basic foundations of gundog training such as using a station, distance control, focus and starting to teach a retrieve and search.

Dates

Saturday 11th April at 5.30pm

at Scolton Manor Country Park.

Classes

Reactive Rascals Classes

This is a new class over 5 weeks for those dogs who are over excited or fearful on lead and react to other dogs OR people.

The first session is for owners only and then the following 4 sessions will be with you and your dog. In session one we talk through how the sessions will run and how the process works. I want you to go away with an understanding of your dog and how the classes will run.

You can then go away with the tools you need so that when your dog does come into class the following week, you have some tools ready, that your dog already knows, and you can start working with them straight away in the class environment.

Dates

Saturday 21st February at 11.45am at Freystrop Village Hall.

The following 4 weeks are on Saturdays at 1.15pm at Llanstinan Dog Park, Trecwn.

Costs
